The Herman Maril Gallery, formerly the West Gallery, is the student run exhibition space for the Department of Art at the University of Maryland. It is a multifunctional space dedicated to serving the students of the University of Maryland by offering them a space to exhibit artwork, a lecture space for visiting artists, and also serves as a general gathering space for the Department of Art. The primary mission of the gallery is to serve the students of the University of Maryland, and in this, serves to continue the legacy of Herman Maril with in the Department of Art.
