Patrice Kehoe - Painting and Drawing

Kehoe received her MFA degree from Washington University in St. Louis, and her BFA degree from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill after two years of liberal arts at Duke University. She joined the faculty at Maryland in 1977. Kehoe’s work has been featured in many solo and group exhibitions in museums, galleries, and art centers nationally and abroad, including The Corcoran Gallery of Art (DC), The Chrysler Museum of Art (VA), The Baltimore Museum of Art (MD), The National Museum of Women in the Arts (DC), The Southeastern Contemporary Art Center (NC), The Springfield Museum of Art (IL), Maryland Art Place, The Washington Project for the Arts (DC), and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.

Kehoe has received numerous grants and awards for her work, including a National Endowment for the Arts Individual Artist’s Fellowship, a Louis Comfort Tiffany Award, and a Maryland State Arts Council Visual Arts Fellowship. Public and corporate collections include the Prince George’s County Government, The Washington Post, Black and Decker Corporation, and the Artery Corporation

Kehoe’s exhibitions have been reviewed in, among others, Artforum, ARTnews, The Washington Post, The Washington Times, The Richmond Times Dispatch, The Winston Salem Journal, Art Papers, The New Art Examiner, and The Philadelphia Inquirer.

  • Artt 428 - Advanced Painting Studio - Multi-level course emphasizing individual projects and contemporary painting.
