The Department of Art at the Univeristy of Maryland recognizes the importance of exhibition and critique of artwork to both appreciate the art and improve upon the work.

In addition to in-class critique and discussion, students are given the oppportunity and encouraged to exhibit their work through one of the many student organized art exhibitions held throughout the academic year in our student-run gallery, The West Gallery. In addition, each year our graduating MFA class exhibits their thesis work in The Art Gallery at the University of Maryland.

Areas of art showcased in this portfolio include student work from graduate and undergraduate course study, faculty work, and campus gallery exhibits. Please enjoy the work and check back for new additions to the online portfolio.
